Sttchr Terms of Service

Effective date: July 7, 2026
Sttchr (Pattern Projection) app for iPhone, iPad, and Android, and the website at sttchr.com

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Sttchr (“Sttchr,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Sttchr mobile app and our website at sttchr.com (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You may delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app, which permanently removes your account and associated data as described in the Privacy Policy.

2. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own sewing and pattern projects. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.

3. Patterns, purchases, and entitlements

Sewing patterns are digital goods. Free patterns are available at no charge. Paid patterns are purchased on the website (sttchr.com) through Stripe; once you own a pattern, your entitlement is linked to your account and unlocks in the app so you can trace it in AR. Access codes provided by a maker are redeemed on the website. Because patterns are digital goods delivered immediately, all sales are final except where a refund is required by law or by the applicable app store’s policies. You may not share, redistribute, or resell pattern files you obtain through the Service.

4. Community content and acceptable use

The Service includes community features: profiles, reels, comments, likes, follows, and direct messages. You are solely responsible for the content you post and the messages you send. By posting, you grant Sttchr a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service; you keep ownership of your content.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post, upload, or send content, or engage in conduct, that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, infringing, spam, or otherwise objectionable, and not to abuse, harass, impersonate, or harm other users. Objectionable content and abusive users are grounds for content removal and account termination.

5. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement

You can report objectionable content (posts, reels, comments) and block abusive users directly in the app. We review reports of objectionable content and, where warranted, remove the content and may remove or ban the user who provided it, typically within 24 hours. We may also filter, hide, limit, suspend, or terminate content or accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. We are not obligated to host any content and may remove content at our discretion to keep the community safe.

6. Creators and selling

If you sell patterns, additional creator terms apply, including content standards, review before listings go live, and payout arrangements through Stripe. You represent that you own or have the rights to everything you upload and that your listings do not infringe anyone’s intellectual property. We may review, reject, edit listing details for, pause, or remove listings, and may suspend creators for repeat or serious violations.

7. Intellectual property and takedowns

Sttchr and its logos, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. If you believe content on the Service infringes your intellectual property, contact us at the email below with enough detail to identify the work and the allegedly infringing material, and we will review and act as appropriate, including removing infringing content and terminating repeat infringers.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Pattern projection and AR scaling depend on your device and environment; always verify measurements before cutting fabric. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sttchr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or materials (including wasted fabric), arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses you granted, intellectual-property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

11. App stores

Your use of the mobile app is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from. If you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the extent it is not superseded by these Terms; Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms entitled to enforce them.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
