About this pattern

The Rose Bottoms are loose-fitting shorts and pants with an elastic high waist and some fun details. Views A and C have a single back patch pocket and a V-cutout hem band. Views B and D have slanted, curved front pockets, two back patch pockets, and a flat-felled side-seam slit on the shorts. The shorts have a shorter inseam, and the pants hit at the ankle. They pair beautifully with the Rose Raglan Button Up. Size range: A–P, hip 31"–61". Fabric suggestions: designed for woven fabrics. Lightweight options include cotton poplin and seersucker. Mid-weight options include linen and chambray. Denim also works, though heavier fabrics like denim or canvas may need a larger seam allowance. Notions: elastic for the waist, 3/4" (2 cm) or 1" (2.5 cm) wide. Techniques you'll learn: flat-felled seams without a special presser foot, and a flat-felled slit (View B).
