About this pattern

The Cowrie Kini is a bikini pattern with two top styles and a French-cut bottom with medium coverage. The bottoms come in mid or high rise for both views. View A is a flat-front top finished with fold-over elastic and a back G-hook closure. View B is a self-faced tie-front top. The pattern teaches you to sew swimwear on a regular sewing machine without a serger, plus two ways to finish bikini edges. Size range: bust 28"–58" (71–147 cm), hip 31"–61" (79–155 cm). Fabric suggestions: four-way stretch knit labeled "swim" or "active wear," such as nylon/spandex or polyester/lycra, with at least 15% elastane. Notions: View A needs 1" (2.5 cm) fold-over elastic, 3/8" (1 cm) swim elastic for straps, a 5/8" (1.5 cm) G-hook and matching thread. View B needs 1/4" (6 mm) swim elastic (polyester or cotton; rubber and clear elastic are not recommended). Includes pattern files.
